Introducing "Frilly Flowers", day 5

Hello Everyone!
What a fun countdown it has been for the 5th Anniversary Celebration and February release at Papertrey Ink. Over the past few days, I have been sharing projects showcasing my new stamp and die set called "Frilly Flowers". These awesome products will be available beginning Feb 15.

Today I am sharing the inspiration for my new release.... My daughter! Brooke was born 5 months ago, and she always has a big flower in her hair ( actually she just has a bit of peach fuzz, so the bows help let the world know she IS indeed a lady.) I love making fun bows but always wanted bigger sizes, and thus came the selfish creation of Frilly Flowers. Below is just one example of how to use the dies with fabric to create the perfect little accent for little girls and big girls alike.
After running the dies and fabric in all three sizes, I folded them into quarters and glued them together with hot glue. A few layers of shimmery tulle made a nice fluffy frame for the bow, and I simply hot glued the hair clip to the back of the base of the bow.
I chose to keep this bow simple, but it would also be fun to have a cluster or pearls and rhinestones or one of PTI's awesome vintage buttons as a centerpiece. I love how it came out. These are great gift ideas for friends or babies. How cute to make a coordinating card and clip the bow onto the card as an embellishment-- or clip the frilly bows onto the gift bag or wrapped present. It would give such a special homemade and thoughtful touch. I received a bunch of adorable handmade bows at a baby shower and just loved them! And FYI, this project took all of ten minutes to make (so it is a really fun and quick craft to do with friends or in your spare time.)

SUPPLIES: I also must mention the cost of this project is soo affordable! I bought fabric remnants and the pink fabric cost under $1, the tulle cost 28 cents! The flat metal hair clips can be bought at Sally Beauty Supply and I believe it was a pack of 12 clips for around $2. I love fun and affordable projects like this!
I hope you have enjoyed the PTI February Count down! I am excited to see how you use the Frilly Flowers stamp set and dies for endless projects to come!

Before I sign off, I have to mention something wonderful in my life!!! You might have noticed a BEAUTIFUL lady holding my sweet Brooke in one of the pictures above... Well, this past weekend my dear brother proposed to his precious sweetheart, Jessie... And she said YES!!!! So, above holding my daughter in my NEW SISTER!!! Jessie has a gentle spirit, the love of Christ in her heart, and she makes my brother happier than I have ever seen him. I am thrilled to be welcoming Jessie into the family, and celebrate in their wedding later on this year.

Stop by my blog later more this week to see more bows and frilly projects you will absolutely love!! I have many to share!

Have a WONDERFUL day.... Filled with kisses for your loved ones and smiles for all you meet. Oh, yes, and HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Introducing "Frilly Flowers", day 4

OK, so I always think "Oh, I will just whip up a simple card in a few minutes." Then before I know it, I have spent an hour layering pieces and utilizing fancy tools. So today's endeavor: Keep it simple!! Nichole Heady and Maile Belles are fabulous at this, and I decided to have a go at it myself.

Once again, we are showcasing my new stamp set and die collection called: "Frilly Flowers" and counting down to the Patertrey Ink February release. "Frilly Flowers" will retail for $24 and the entire set of MUST-HAVE dies is $22.

This card features a white base with PTI colors Spring Rain and Hawaiian Shores. I used tape to create the coordinating glittery frame, and the sentiment is from my "Embellishments" stamp set. I love these cool and calming colors on the simple white background.

Come back tomorrow for our last day of the count down and see the inspiration for this whole stamp set!!! This is definitely my favorite part of the stamp set!!!

Don't forget that "life is better with you in it"! Keep on smiling!

Nothing but grace,
Tiffany

Introducing "Frilly Flowers", day 3

Here's another fun look at the new release of "Frilly Flowers", retailing for $24 at Papertrey Ink. I hope you are enjoying the countdown fun with all the talented PTI ladies!

I used the largest flower as a green leafy backdrop then layered several of the flower options. The sentiment is from my "Embellishments stamp set. I think it is nice to mix and match the different flower shapers.

PTI Colors are: Orange Zest, Dark Chocolate, New Leaf, and Raspberry Fizz.

And isn't this "Filigree" die just awesome! I love it!!

More "Frilly Flowers" fun coming up tomorrow!!

Sending Smiles,
Tiffany

Introducing "Frilly Flowers", day 2

Greeting again! Here we are with the Papertrey Ink February release quickly approaching. Today I have another card featuring my new stamp set and dies called "Frilly Flowers" which will retail for $24.

Today's color scheme is PTI perfect match: Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, Berry Sorbet, with a light orange. I love this Tim Holtz tape. SO nice to add texture and a little something interesting without cluttering up a project. The sentiment is from the "Embellishments" stamp set which coordinated nicely with this set as well.

More fun stuff to see tomorrow! Stop on by!

Smiles,
Tiffany

Introducing "Frilly Flowers" and dies

Hello everyone!
It's time for the countdown to the February PTI release! Over the next few days I will be showcasing a new stamp set you are sure to love! Today I introduce "Frilly Flowers"... You will LOVE all this set has to offer!!

"Frilly Flowers" features a great combo of over-sized flowers and leaves with my favorite bits of swirls and grunge giving a nice artistic flair. It will be for sale at PTI on Feb 15, retailing at only $24!! (And guess what? Great news! There are coordinating dies for all the images in the stamp set, too!)
This card just feels like summer to me! Featuring my recent PTI color favorites: Hawaiian Shores, along with some Pure Poppy, and Simply Chartreuse. The sentiment is from my set "Grunge Me" and the pattern papers are from "We R Memory Keepers".

I LOVE flower sets and flower dies, BUT it seems I am always wishing there were bigger options for different projects. SO, this set is like a dream come true! Stop on by tomorrow to see more fun inspiration with this set!

Working with Papertrey!

Hello dear bloggers!
I can't believe it is already time for the 5 year anniversary celebration with Papertrey Ink!! Wow! Time really flies! I am excited to share a fun stamp set with you later on this week and look forward to showing off the fun options you will have with it!

Above and below you will see the card I made with my Digital Stamp freebie that Nichole is giving away. I thought it would be a nice little freebie you could use on Valentine's for your children's class (much easier to repeat and print 30 times) or use for a friend or loved one.

In part of the anniversary festivities, I must share my favorite stamp that I have designed. I think the set I find myself going back to for all kinds of occasions is "Embellishments". I love the dies, the sentiments, and the distressed flourishes seem to go with anything.
Hop on over later on this week and see some super fun stuff for the upcoming release!

Happy Anniversary, Papertrey!

Nothing but Grace,
Tiffany
