Birthday Inspirations

Hello bloggers!
It has been a crazy and full two weeks! This card was made to honor my mother-in-law, Gail. I was waiting for her birthday to upload it on my blog... and on her birthday we got word that her husband, (my hubby's dad), has been diagnosed with large cell lymphoma. It appears to be in stage 1 and the family is being proactive to change our diet. Eating organic, cutting out sugar, and juicing carrots like crazy. :) John and Gail are sticking to the new diet to help him better fight the cancer, and we are choosing to let this be a good wake up call for us as well. So we are trying to be more mindful of what goes into our bodies and how to make preventative changes.
.........

Today John gets his port in (right now actually) and later this afternoon he will have his first chemo treatment. We have great hope and trust that John is in God's hands. :) And we are expecting wonderful things ahead.SO, back to the card...
DETAILS, DETAILS!

>> Papertrey Colors include Harvest Gold, Dark Chocolate, and New Leaf. We will also see some PTI flair with the Edgers die, and my sentiment and floursi from "Embellishments.

>> The happy little bird is from the SLICE "Vintage Findings" cartridge. I used the pink glimmer mist to add some depth, and it seems to coordinate nicely with the PTI Melon Burst colors. I used Copics to color the branch and leaf, and the brown bling was a nice sparkle, too.

>> I Love this extra wide lace! It's about 2 inches wide and jsut lovely! A fabulous Walmart find! :)
>>The FLOWER, was a fun little creation. I scallop punched some vellum, stamped it with sentiments from Embellishments, then sprayed it with the glimmer mist. I curled it up, add a button and some CTMH waxy flax (colored to match) and I also added some popup pieces to help maintain the 3D effect.

Hope you all are having a sunshiny day! Let your spirit be lifted today as we release worry into the hands of our Creator. He's holding it all together. Let's walk in peace and faith today!

Smiles, Tiffany
